EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Mr.
Saeed Hussain Al Muntafiq graduated from Schiller International University –
UK, with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in International Relations, and a Minor in
Psychology.
In
addition, Mr. Al Muntafiq has attended numerous training courses at Oxford
University, Columbia University and AIM Philippines in a variety of
areas.
From
September to November 1998, Mr. Muntafiq participated in the Program
Management Development at Harvard Business School in the USA. The PMD program
is a broad, strategic program that helps functional managers gain an
understanding beyond their specialties to position themselves for more diverse
and demanding responsibilities of general management.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
Mr.
Al Muntafiq has worked at Emirates Petroleum Products Company (EPPCO) for a
period of 11 years. During his work at EPPCO he held managerial positions at a
senior level. His last position
was General Manager of EPPCO Lubricants.
As GM, Lubricants he contributed to the EPPCO Group’s strategic
development, operational performance, profitability and cash flow by managing
the EPPCO Projects UAE Lubricants marketing business and the Lube Oil
Manufacturing Plant.
Mr.
Al Muntafiq also worked at Caltex Oil Malaysia for two years as an assistant
Director of Marketing, where he lead the marketing team towards Caltex Oil
Vision, by achieving it’s marketing plan in accordance with it’s
strategies and programs, inclusive of designing it’s automation
strategies.
During
his many years of experience with EPPCO, Mr. Al Muntafiq has participated in
implementing and achieving many challenging projects in different areas, such
as: “Project Spider, which can be defined as simply : “Development of
EPPCO’s e-business strategy and definition of internet
opportunities”.
In
December 1999, Mr Al Muntafiq joined the Dubai Technology, E-Commerce and
Media Free Zone as Project Manager to compile the strategy for Dubai Internet
City. In May of this year Mr Al
Muntafiq was named Chief Executive Officer of Dubai Media City.
Mr
Al Muntafiq is the OECD Coordinator General for the EMEF Conference to be held
in Dubai in January 2001, Vice Chairman of Zain TV and a board member of Dubai
Internet City.
