In March 1999, after that General Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the crown prince of Dubai and the UAE Defence minister had made a press conference and encouraged to come up with new thinking in the new e-commerce field, Lars Olof Känngård made a visionary presentation on how Dubai could become a E-Commerce Hub.
